The Children's Museum of the East End (CMEE - pronounced as "see me") is a wonderful place of discovery designed to provide interactive experiences that foster curiosity in children and create a lifelong love of self-directed learning.
Children can explore the history and treasures (including potatoes!) of the East End of Long Island. Through interactive hands-on exhibits, as well as workshops and programs, CMEE provides a stimulating and dynamic environment where children can discover their community and its culture through history, natural sciences and the arts.
In addition to the indoor activities, visitors are encouraged to explore outdoor exhibits, mazes and gardens. There is space for year-round workshops, performances, and special events, as well as a permanent art workshop for children to explore their own creativity.
On Friday, July 13, 2007, CMEE will hold its 8th annual "CMEE Under the Stars" gala at Channing Daughters Winery in Bridgehampton, NY. Not only is this a lovely evening out but its for a really wonderful cause! For tickets call 631-537-8250 or visit www.CMEE.org
