KRISTEN HORLER, FOUNDER & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Born out of necessity, Baby Boot Camp arrived shortly after Kristen Horler's first child in August 2001. Horler searched the San Francisco Bay Area for a postnatal fitness class. After extensive research, she was unable to find a challenging workout that didn't require hiring a personal trainer and a babysitter or purchasing a gym membership. Drawing from her experience as a group fitness instructor, personal trainer, triathlete and mother, she developed Baby Boot Camp to balance the fitness needs of new moms with their desire to spend time with their baby.
In addition to expanding Baby Boot Camp, Kristen Horler is also part of ePregnancy magazine's expert panel as a fitness contributor and a continuing education provider for the American Council on Exercise (ACE). She has been a certified Spinning instructor since 1997, an ACE certified personal trainer since 1999, a Balanced Body Pilates instructor since 2000, as well as a certified pre- and post-natal fitness instructor since 2000. Kristen is also a regular presenter on body mechanics, the impact of pregnancy on exercise and how to safely exercise through bedrest. Prior to becoming a fitness professional, she earned a B.A. degree in physical anthropology from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Horler makes her home in Florida with her husband and two children where she continues to develop and refine the Baby Boot Camp program.
